CHOCOLATE TREATS AND DELIGHTS
ON THE MENU OF THE FIRST SALON
DU CHOCOLAT IN LONDON
Salon du Chocolat, the world's largest chocolate show came for the first time to London. This spectacular finish to a wonderful line up of Chocolate Week activities took place 18th-20th October at National Hall, Olympia.
Visitors were treated to exhibits from the UK’s top chocolate companies and exciting international brands, as well as demonstrations, talks, interactive workshops from acclaimed chocolatiers and chefs and spectacular sculptures such as Hotel Chocolat’s life size chocolate cocoa tree.
Visitors met the best chocolate companies from the UK and abroad such as Artisan du Chocolat, Paul a Young, Rococo, Hotel Chocolat, Paul Wayne Gregory, Marc Demarquette, Divine, Prestat, Lindt, Valrhona, Pralus and Bonnat. They also watch master patissier Eric Lanlard in action, Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite and leading pastry chefs from Hakkasan and Le Manoir aux quat’saisons.
The highlight of the event was Salon’s world famous chocolate fashion show with stunning couture outfits made and inspired by chocolate, designed by the countries top chocolatiers and some of the UK’s most exciting fashion designers. The outfits were worn live on the catwalk at the Gala preview evening for the show and displayed throughout the event.
